Good morning. I'm having great problems with the ride on a citroen C5 (h3 suspension, 4 spheres only). It's hard and bumpy, and pitching all over the place on uneven roads. Some time ago my satnav took me through some flood water, which freaked out the BSI which immediately set the ride height on high, and took a while to come back to normal. Measure the length of the needed coilover at ride height and go from there. The measured length should be the length of the needed shock when centered in its travel. For example, if you measure 12 inches then your coilover shock length needs to be 14 inches extended and 10 inches compressed assuming a shock with four inches of travel. The C5 features a decentralised system employing separate systems for power steering and braking while future developments may feature a pump for each road wheel and a totally active system (the Activa is, in truth, reactive, albeit its reactions are so quick as to almost deserve the appellation) which reads the road surface ahead of the car and provides precisely the correct amount of Raise the height on the drivers side by screwing the bolt in or lower the height on the passenger side by loosening the bolt. VBP has the rear spring bushings and bolts with greater adjustability. You might want to consider changing out the bushings if they are worn. Can be done in an hour on both sides and involved cutting out the old bolts Adjusting ride height can be achieved by performing the following: Disconnect the linkage from the height control valve extension arm; Rotate the extension arm up to raise or down to lower the axle; Adjust until the distance between the suspension mounting surface and the axle centre matches the recommended suspension ride height; Centre the Received 55 Likes on 43 Posts. If you're referring to ride height bolts, they're pretty cheap and don't require you to buy/change the springs. You can find them anywhere from $20-100 depending on brand and where you buy them from. If you search, there are tons of people on here that have done this with both stock and aftermarket bolts. SFXX8k. Ride Height Make sure you measure the ride height before you take any readings. The Corvette does not use coil springs. Instead, it uses composite material springs mounted transversely. Bolts are mounted control arms to make the adjustment. Adjusting the ride height before an alignment can minimize adjustments for camber and caster. Front 1 Remove the setting rod from the height sensor. Connect the connecting rod ( 6), as "d". Reconnect the connector (5). Check the heights of the vehicle (see the relevant operation). Height Check C5 MK II (Facelift 2004 to 2007): Official Tools - but you can improvise: Measuring the heights. Wheel Radius Measurement. The reason for this difference is to balance the car for 50/50 weight distribution (handling). At 120 mph on up to 175 mph, the C5 rear end gets very light and the only solution to compensate for that is a large rear wing, not jacking with the ride height which would be detrimental to high speed stability. Step 2 – Raise the front end. Beak the lugs loose (but don’t remove them) on a front tire. Block the rear wheels, and with a hydraulic floor / trolley jack, raise the front side of the car up at the jack lifting point called out in the owner's manual. Figure 4. I wanted to start a separate dedicated thread on mrc calibration. First on what to expect recalibrating to zero “trim height calibration” after lowering and secondly if there is any way to recalibrate between years, not tune mrc but calibration between 16 and 17 years.
